PHOENIX, Az. (October 25, 2017) – Today at its annual dealer meeting, Kubota Tractor Corporation unveiled a new open-station model to its popular M6S Series, which was introduced just last spring. The M6S-111 ROPS model diesel tractor combines Kubota power and performance with a lower price point than its cabbed counterparts. The M6S-111 gives cattle and hay producers an open-station option when seeking a tractor suited for the full range of cattle and hay operations, loader work and mowing.

“We introduced the M6S Series just six months ago and it has received a tremendous reception. The only thing missing from the series was an open-station option; we are pleased to announce that starting now, farmers and ranchers are able to order this new ROPS model,” said Kent Brown, Kubota senior product manager, ag tractors. “The M6S Series is designed for the small to mid-sized producer who values big performance at an economical price.”

The M6S-111 with ROPS features technology-driven Kubota diesel engines matched with transmissions equipped with Kubota’s exclusive Swing Shift feature, providing easy shifting from the ergonomic open operator’s station. The M6S-111 completes the M6S Series which includes the four-wheel drive M6S-111SHDC and M6S-111SDSC and the two-wheel drive M6S-111SHC cab models.

Unbeatable M-Series Power and Transmission Versatility

The M6S-111 features a durable Kubota-built V-3800-Tier IV diesel engine. Rated at 104.9 HP* and 95 PTO HP** the M6S-111 is performance-matched with a complete line of Kubota disc mowers, hay tedders, rakes and BV-Series balers. Constant RPM management memory minimizes repetitive actions, adding performance efficiency in applications like front loader work.

The Kubota M6S-111 transmission brings economical, top-of-class versatility required across the full range of haying applications and cattle farm chores. The Swing Shift 16F x 16R transmission comes standard on the M6S-111SHF (2wd) and M6S-111SHD.  A 32F x 32R Swing Shift Plus version is also available on the M6S-111SDS2. The Swing Shift actuates the electric over hydraulic range shift to provide eight, or sixteen (Swing Shift Plus), speed options through a single lever control, giving the flexibility needed for load increases, hay tool operation and travel across varying field conditions. Eight additional speeds are activated with the main range lever, conveniently positioned to the left of the tractor seat.

Ergonomic Operator Station

The M6S-111 is ergonomically designed to make the operator more comfortable during long days of hay applications and farm chores. The front loader joystick control operates with exceptional smoothness and responsiveness. The steering wheel tilts up to a 41-degree angle, allowing easier operator entry and exit into the ergonomic seat.
