SOCIAL MEDIA INFLUENCERS
Martha Stewart loves her Kubota mower!
Social media - it’s part of our lives and our customers’ lives. So, at Kubota we are leveraging the many benefits of social platforms. Of course, we have Kubota operated Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and other pages where many of our current customers “like” and “follow” us. But, we are also utilizing the growing influence of social media to generate awareness of the Kubota brand and the breadth of our product line with those who might not have been exposed to Kubota before.
Having a respected third party advocate for Kubota equipment lends credibility to our brand and deepens our connection with a targeted audience.
So, the trick is to (1) find influencers whose followers match our target audiences and (2) confirm they have enough followers that it is a cost-effective way to reach them by providing the influencer a piece of equipment.
One recent success story is with Martha Stewart. We began a relationship with Martha and her grounds team last year. She made several posts that were then picked up by Buzzfeed and viewed by nearly 17 million people on BuzzFeed.com and another 5.4 of the BuzzFeed Instagram page! This is the definition of going viral! Other posts have been picked up by US Weekly, Intouch Magazine, Town and Country and shared on Martha’s blog.
